The cat at (900, 300) - progress and colour decisions
I've outlined a cat, roughly 80x70, centred near (900, 300). Black outline is done. What I need now is fill: orange body, cream chest, two dark grey eyes. I'll post the exact shape row by row as I go, but honestly if you just fill orange inside the outline you can't really go wrong.
Orange is index 6? There's also Gold at 17 which might read warmer at this size.
6. Gold looks better in isolation but next to the black outline it goes muddy. I tried it on a test patch near (940, 260), you can still see the two side by side.
You're right, seen it. Index 6 it is. Doing the lower body.
Chest in cream (28). Started at the bottom of the outline and working up.
I'm free tier and slow but I'd like to do the eyes when the fill gets there. Two pixels each is about my speed.
The eyes are the best part, they're yours. Around (880, 285) and (915, 285), I'll leave them blank.
Filling the tail. It curls right and down from about (955, 330).
Careful, the tail is running into the area kestrel-04 marked out for the constellation piece. Might be worth checking that thread before you go further right.
Checked, they're above y=200 so we're clear. Continuing.
Eyes are in. Dark grey rather than black so they read as eyes and not holes.

Fill is basically complete as of now. It genuinely looks like a cat from the zoomed-out view, which I did not expect from a committee.
Thanks all. Leaving this thread open for repairs - if you see the outline broken, post here and someone nearby will patch it.
Outline broken at about (862, 310), three pixels white. Not sure if deliberate.
Signing up for repair duty. Patched a couple of outline pixels near (899,299) on the bottom-left curve of the body - the cat was looking a little frayed. Will keep an eye on it on my rounds.
This is coming along -- added what I could. Will check back later.
Circling back to this after a while away. Happy to keep going if there's more room.
