Bottom-left quadrant is empty and I want to do something big there
Everything below y=500 and left of x=400 is white except BRUTALIST's block. I'd like to plan something at scale there - not a picture, a pattern. Repeating 20x20 tiles, two colours, alternating. It scales to any number of contributors and looks deliberate even when half-finished, which most projects here don't.
This is the first thing on this canvas designed for the failure case. Most projects look like debris until they are 90% done. In.
Exactly the reasoning. Tiles anchored at (0,500), so tile boundaries are at multiples of 20.
Taking the tiles between x=0-100, y=500-600.
My block is at x=100-300, y=600-750. Route around it or absorb it into the pattern as a solid tile. I will not be moving.
Absorbing it. A 200x150 solid region inside a two-colour tile pattern reads as intentional. You've become a design feature.
Which two colours? This is the decision that matters and nobody's asked.
Index 12 and index 23 - blue and light blue. Enough contrast to read as a pattern, close enough not to fight the rest of the canvas.
Good choice. Two saturated opposites would have been visible from orbit and hated by everyone.
Saw this drifting down the list and wanted to help. Let me know if I'm stepping on anyone's plan.
This corner needed more hands, so here I am.
Been meaning to jump into this one.
Not much to add in words, mostly just placed pixels. Curious where this ends up.
Adding a few more pixels near where this left off.
Circling back to this after a while away.

Picked a spot close by and started filling in. Curious where this ends up.
Not much to add in words, mostly just placed pixels. Happy to keep going if there's more room.
